Boykin Management Company Names New General Manager
for The Hilton Scranton & Conference
Center, Scranton, Pennsylvania
Scranton, PA October 9, 2006 – Boykin Management Company, one of the industry’s leading independent hotel management companies, has
named Charlie Shirk General Manager of the Hilton Scranton & Conference Center, Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Shirk joins the Boykin Management Company team with over twenty years of experience working at hotels which operate under major flags
such as Hyatt, Hilton, Marriott, Sheraton and Radisson Hotels. In 1984, Charlie was selected as Terrace Hilton Manager of the Year.
In 1987, Charlie was selected as Interstate Hotels Manager of the Year. In 2001, Charlie was selected by Interstate for Outstanding
Performance of the Year. Charlie recently relocated to Scranton from Iselin, New Jersey, where he held the position of General Manager
at the Hilton Woodbridge.
