Boykin Management Company Announces the Appointment of
David Pickens to the Position of Director of
Financial Reporting and Analysis
Cleveland, Ohio, October 19, 2004—Boykin Management Company announces the appointment of David
Pickens to the position of Director of Financial Reporting and Analysis at its headquarters, located
in Cleveland, Ohio.
In his new role as Director of Financial Reporting and Analysis, David will develop new reporting
tools and will be leading a new key initiative to evaluate existing reporting tools and reports to
develop a plan for migration to the new PeopleSoft platform. David will also continue spearheading
the PeopleSoft implementation for the company along with the members of the PeopleSoft implementation
team. David will also continue with his current job responsibilities of assisting the financial and
operational management team members at both the property level as well as the corporate office in
maintaining current analytical tools.
Mr. Pickens joined the Boykin Management Company team in February of 2002 with 25 years of experience
in the resort, hotel and travel industries, bringing a wealth of experience. David has held
positions as Regional Controller for GF Management and Area Controller for Crossroads Hospitality.
David also spent over five years with Interstate Hotels holding Controller positions at four
different properties across the United States as well as holding a Controller position with Omni
Hotels Corporation. Prior to Interstate, David spent ten years with the Hilton Hotels Corporation.
David is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, holding a Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration with an emphasis in Accounting, and continues to be a value added member of Boykin
Management Company.
