Boykin Management Company announces the appointment of Gregory Smith to the position of Chief Financial Officer/Chief Administration Officer at its corporate
office in Cleveland, Ohio.
Greg Smith returns to Boykin after 18 years with Interstate Hotels, where he was most recently the Vice President of International Finance and
Regional Director of Finance. Greg brings with him an understanding of the world hospitality market, gained while he was responsible for all
aspects of accounting and finance operations for Interstate’s hotels in Moscow as well as other international developments. In addition, he
oversaw the accounting and finance operations for the resort division and major third-party contracts, and was involved with owner relations,
hotel acquisitions, controller development, and skill enhancement.
Prior to Interstate’s merger with Meristar, Greg was located in Pittsburgh and was Interstate’s Vice President and Corporate Controller and
directed the company’s finance and information technology departments. While working with Interstate, Greg also held various positions with
the company such as Hotel Controller at the Marriott Albany, New York and the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott, Pennsylvania.
Prior to 1988, Greg was Corporate Controller at Boykin, with responsibility for all Corporate and Hotel accounting.
