Boykin Management Company Selected to Manage
Atwood Lake Resort and Conference Center
Cleveland, Ohio, June 21, 2004—Boykin Management Company, one of the industry’s leading
independent hotel management companies, has announced it has been named to manage the Atwood Lake
Resort and Conference Center in Dellroy, Ohio for the Muskingham Watershed Conservancy District
(MWCD). “We are delighted to be partnering with MWCD in furthering the success of Atwood Lake Resort.
We expect that our expertise in sales and revenue management, and advantages in terms of operating
systems and purchasing programs, will yield immediate and long-lasting benefits to the resort” said

Atwood Lake Resort and Conference Center, situated along the 1,540 acre Atwood Lake, is owned by MCWD
and opened in 1965. The resort contains 104 guest rooms and 17 four-bedroom lakeside cottages, a
restaurant and lounge, and full conference and banquet facilities totaling over 9,000 square feet of
meeting space. In 2003, the resort completed a $3.2 million renovation that included new soft goods
to all 104 guestrooms, new balcony doors, updates to all guest bathrooms, and a complete upgrade of
the lobby and dining room including new windows, carpeting, and restaurant tables and chairs. The
conference and meeting rooms were also updated.
Resort amenities include an 18-hole regulation golf course with PGA pro, Par 3 lighted golf course
and driving range, outdoor tennis courts, fitness room, bike paths and hiking trails, supervised
