Boykin Management Company Assumes Management
of Six Doubletree Hotels
Boykin Management Company, one of the nations oldest independent hotel management
organizations has announced it has assumed management of six full service Doubletree
hotels. The hotels are owned by Boykin Lodging Company and were formerly operated
by Hilton Hotels Corporation. The six Doubletree properties are located in Boise, Idaho; Colorado
Springs, Colorado; Omaha, Nebraska; Sacramento, California; with two in Portland, Oregon.
According to Joseph Smith, Executive Vice President of Boykin Management Company: This
is a wonderful opportunity for us to expand our management presence in the western states
with one of the industrys most respected hotel franchise organizations. The Boykin
organization has enjoyed a significant and expanding relationship with Hilton and our
transition has been relatively seamless with no disruption to the property operations
or the respective employees and guests. We welcome each and every one of the 1,300
new associates that have recently joined the Boykin team.
A brief description on each of the six Doubletree properties follows:
- Doubletree Hotel Boise Riverside 304 guest rooms (including 35 suites) and 20,000 square feet of meeting space nestled on 14 acres of roses, gardens & courtyards on the scenic Boise River. Other amenities include a restaurant, lounge, gift shop, outdoor swimming pool, two hot tubs and fitness center.
- Doubletree Hotel Colorado Springs World Arena 299 guest rooms (including 6 elegantly appointed suites) with 20,000 square feet of meeting space, an expansive contemporary design featuring skylights & atriums. Other amenities include a restaurant, lounge, business center, gift shop, outdoor swimming pool, and fitness center.
- Doubletree Hotel Omaha Downtown 413 guest rooms (including 36 suites) with 28,000 square feet of meeting space located in downtown Omaha. This property completed a $9 million renovation in May of 2002. Other amenities include a restaurant, lounge, business center, gift shop, swimming pool, and fitness center.
- Doubletree Hotel Portland Downtown 235 guest rooms (including 3 suites) with over 6,000 square feet of meeting space located in downtown Portland. Other amenities include a restaurant, lounge, gift shop, outdoor swimming pool and fitness center.
- Doubletree Hotel Portland Lloyd Center 476 guest rooms (including 17 suites) with 38,000 square feet of meeting space, just blocks from the Oregon Convention Center. Other amenities include two restaurants, lounge, business center, gift shop, outdoor swimming pool, and fitness center.
- Doubletree Hotel Sacramento 448 guest rooms (including 8 suites) with over 30,000 square feet of meeting space located on a 22 acre park-like setting, just 5 miles from downtown and the State Capital. Other amenities include two restaurants, lounge, business center, gift shop, outdoor swimming pool, and fitness center.
